The account below is one such story involving the Bible Gateway, one of Gospel Communications’ most effective online outreach tools. What is it? It’s a fully searchable online Bible–in dozens of languages and translations, from Arabic to Vietnamese. Here’s what one Bible Gateway user wrote us to say:

“I just want to thank you for your awesome website. The other day I was doing a little reading on the way home between my college and my halls of residence.

After a while a man I’d never seen before came and started talking to me. Before long he was pouring his heart out to me about his life’s troubles. After a short while I was reading some Romans extracts to him from my New Testament. He said that although he understood what I was saying, he didn’t read English and would it be possible to get a Bible in Arabic?

I asked if he would wait a short while and 45 minutes later I returned with the book of Romans in Arabic downloaded from your website. I was amazed that I could copy all the unusual squiggles into Word and that he could read them and then translate them back to English to me. It was incredible!

He came to a prayer meeting that evening, and I’ve since bought him a copy of the whole Bible in Arabic. He returned to the prayer meeting the week after and is coming to church.”

It’s exciting when God uses one of our ministry tools to speak to someone. But it’s even more exciting when God multiplies our ministry reach by empowering Christians to put our tools to work in their own everyday outreach!
